Are you beginner or advanced artist and want to better your observational studies, and build your skills in other media such as charcoal? Do you want to understand object structure and perspective better so you can mentally rotate objects?  Tired of struggling with capturing textures with a pencil? Finding figure drawing difficult? Struggling with likeness or proportions in portraiture? Having a hard time to quickly gesture a landscape or cityscape from life/ en plein air?  Join us now and receive direct feedback to grow. The class is accessible to anyone from beginners to advanced. The instruction is focused on concepts that can be applied on all levels. For example a beginning artist can apply a 2-point perspective lesson onto boxes while an advanced student can apply it to a complex architectural piece. While this course focuses on observational drawing, it goes way beyond the simple practice of replicating. Here students will learn how to perceive differently and understand the three-dimensional structure of objects, figures, space or any subject matter. This foundation is crucial to any form of art including painting, architecture, industrial design, illustration, digital art and printmaking. Sessions are 2 hr once a week.
