My child is only 10 years old but very serious about the art/courses, can he or she join the Full course?Absolutely, we will take a look at their past work (just like any other student) to gauge their level and understand their specific needs. If they don't have any past work, it's also okay since we start from ground zero and build up at their own individual pace. The class is mostly geared towards Teens but younger serious students are always welcome. If they need extra help they are also welcome to attend private sessions as well.

I am an adult. Can I take classes?Absolutely! We got plenty of adult students! Please shoot us an email or text, so we can schedule a video call. We can go over the schedule and place you in the slots that have other adult students.
-
I live far away, can I still make it work for me/my kid?Absolutely! Some classes are offered online and some are hybrid (both online and in person simultaneously). We can also work on having the students attend in person once a month, and online the rest ( or plan it out depending on your needs).
-
Can a student join after a course has already started?Absolutely. For the students who join in halfway, they can use their remaining make-up sessions to learn what they missed. For example if a student joins after 2 months, they will have 8 remaining make-up sessions (1 every month for total of 10 during the whole program), that they can use to catch up. If you have any issue with booking (in case the site is wonky), you can always email us.

I/my child are only interested in Fine Art, can we still take the full course?Yes absolutely. The full course teaches both approaches but the work given is flexible. In terms of media, the student will learn both traditional and digital that they can incorporate in their own practices. There is always going to be a Fine Art equivalent to each Concept art assignment and students will have a choice depending on the kind of portfolio they are trying to build. For example a character design assignment can also be tackled as a figure drawing exercise. A three point perspective background design can be applied to a landscape, architectural draft or even geometric abstraction piece.

I/ my child isn't sure what class to take? Can you help?Yes! You can always discuss with us in person, via email or text. Or we could also schedule a video call.

What is the difference between the Anime class and the Concept Art portion of the "Full Course"?The Concept Art portion of the "Full Course" includes everything from backgrounds, to realistic characters, to stylized characters, to creatures and lighting. Students may opt to create all their characters in anime style if they wish in the class, but it is an all encompassing course that also includes the traditional fine art ( drawing and painting lessons) and allow students to dabble in all media. The Anime course consists of a more detailed breakdown of figures from realism to stylization. It will include more figure drawing practice and more in-depth stylization practice of facial expressions and foreshortening. The primary medium of the class is digital. The Full course will measure growth through an upward structured plan. The Anime Course will measure a more specialized growth through the different lessons each day and each month.

I am a parent of a student. Can I sit in the class? If you are a parent not taking any course, but want to be present, we are okay with it as long as we have the available space. If a class is full and space is limited, students will take priority. But parents are welcome to stand (or even sit if space allows) in the beginning and end of class. There is also a little lobby as well as vending area with seating for parents. However if you want to follow a whole course along with your child from beginning to end , then the parent can sign for the Full Course for Ages 11+ (it includes all ages and can be a good bonding exercise between parents and children).

Is the 10 month Program enough for an adult or child student to master all the techniques and processes? It will all depend on how willing the student is to work both in and out of class. And the amount of work put in. The student can also do the 10 month program as many times as they need to master each portion. If a student finishes the 10 month program and takes it a second time for complete mastery, they can always bump the assignment levels up. For example, if a student completed and mastered two-point perspective, they can also apply three-point or create the same scene from a more complex angle. Or they could go up to the next level of the class (such as world building).
